We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Controller to be based at our site in New Malden.
As a Security Controller, you will provide specialist security advice and support to the facility, programmes and projects. You will act as the focal point between various stakeholders, ensuring consistent and effective standards of physical and information security management.
You will also be responsibility for the delivery of security advice to management, employees, and external agencies, ensuring that statutory and legal obligations as well as business needs are achieved.
This role will offer a chance to work at a key facility for the BAE Systems team, working with a range of external and internal stakeholders, it will be varied and give an opportunity to gain a fuller understanding on some key contracts for the business.
Your Main Responsibilities As a Security Controller Will Involve
- Mitigating security risks to the site by the implementation of knowledge, experience and policy
- Liaising with and providing advice to stakeholders, management and staff in order to predict current and future requirements
- Anticipating and resolving site wide security issues and ensure policies are in place to allow the delivery of programmes and projects
- Developing and managing effective communications to promote security and employee engagement in security
- Coordinating and reporting on the implementation of varying security directives affecting projects
- Managing the protection of assets and data within defined criteria
- Assisting in the planning measures for buildings, facilities, projects and programmes and provide innovative solutions to maintain and enhance the security environment
Your Skills And Qualifications
- Knowledge and delivery of HMG (Her Majesty’s Government) security policy
- Knowledge of Personnel and Physical Security
- Knowledge of IT security controls and understanding of data security requirements
- Strong experience within a similar security management position
- Understanding of UK law pertinent to security role
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders is key

Location: New Malden
Salary: Up to £40,600 dependent on skills and experience
