We are seeking a high performing, commercially focused and strategically minded People Partner to join our most diverse business unit in a challenging but rewarding role.

The Business Partnering Team drives an excellent employee experience and provides a key point of contact for Business Unit Heads for strategic support to shape their People agenda globally. The team requires dedicated, driven and talented individuals to live, breathe and embody the People team’s vision in executing their strategic role.

Working alongside the Lead Business Partner GCO, this role will partner with the leadership team to help drive optimum People performance in pursuit of the business and Computershare’s goals.

To support and advise strategic and operational decision-making through insights gained internally and externally that drive better business performance.

To ensure that the people plan continues to be fit for purpose and drives an improved employee experience.

Supports the consistent application, implementation, and improvement of People policies/strategies/initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Lead Business Partner, provide the GCO Leadership Team with coaching and guidance on a range of people/commercial issues, including development of key leaders identified in the succession plan and contribution to the overall business strategy.
  • Play a leading role in the implementation of the people strategy needed to support the strategic aims of the business line aligned to the global Computershare people strategy.
  • Understand, interpret, explain, and drive People performance within Computershare by sharing data insights and analytics on people related metrics with the global business unit through the creation of management dashboards.
  • Leverage workforce insights and analytics in order to focus the business’s leaders on relevant People management issues while assessing potential strategies and solutions that promote talent, development, and succession plans.
  • Share Business unit strategy and priorities with People team Centres of Excellence to enable effective planning and delivery to business units.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the People team to champion People initiatives, processes, and approaches within the Business unit.
  • Proactively drive improvements to business performance by providing expertise on organizational design and change.
  • Work alongside the ER team in People Services and Delivery to ensure a positive employee relations climate within the business unit, in particular ensuring managers use the correct points of contact to resolve issues and manage change.
  • Oversee and create solutions to mitigate people risks within the global business unit.
  • Role model Computershare’s Being Purple ways of working across all business unit employees and locations, promoting an inclusive workplace.

What will you bring to the role?

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level qualification or significant work experience.
  • Experience as a Business Partner who has previously held a senior leadership role for a sizeable commercial organization, ideally with a Global remit for a sizeable commercial organization
  • Significant experience in organizational design principles and delivery of large-scale people change program. Post-acquisition/merger integration experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic alignment/thinking through utilization of data: metrics, measures, and delivery.
  • Multi-site/legal jurisdictional experience is preferred due to our highly distributed workforce
  • Demonstrates experience in partnering and coaching leaders in all facets of People Management as well as developing and coaching them to reach their potential
  • Successfully established and developed strong, trust based, relationships at very senior levels, through strong presence, gravitas, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to work within remote teams and collaboratively within a matrix environment and to account manage service delivery into a business unit
  • Ability to work effectively at both strategic and the operational level
  • Strong persuasive and influencing skills, especially with senior management. Ability to support and influence leaders through change will be key success
  • Strong ethics and values, identifies with and strongly aligns to Computershare culture
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate information, both written and verbal, clearly and concisely
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to work alongside global leaders and commitment to meetings which may be scheduled outside of normal business hours.
