The Role

Will contribute to the success of the division and MPC by preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining general ledger and performing other accounting duties.

What you will do

1. Area Of focus # Business Performance

  • Assisting in preparing the financial pack for month end close.
  • Responsible for month-end close and accounting activities including but not limited to:

a)Ensure timely closing of MM

b) Accruals, provisions, prepayments ..etc

c)Ensure all transactions are accounted including documentation (Invoice, supporting documentation)

  • Maintaining General ledger and prepare details/schedules.
  • Review service Purchase order to ensure cost is booked in correct GL.
  • Fixed Asset register maintenance, keeping a track of assets needed to be capitalized.
  • Assist in the process of external and internal auditing.
  • As a partner in the accounting process, recommend how to improve efficiency using automation.
  • Adhere to generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Review and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and documents.
  • Supervise all accounting and implementation of accounting policies and internal control checks.
  • Business partner with other accounting functions (Supplier Receivable, Payables, Treasury ..etc).
  • Provide other business support as required.
  • Complete any task provided by Reporting Manager.

2. Area Of focus # Teamwork and People

  • Effective communication of all financial information to the divisional teams.
  • Communicate within MPC division in order to collate information/supporting required for Principal claims.
  • Developing effective relationships at all levels within MPC to so as to be able to provide appropriate business support where necessary.
  • Ability to initiate, follow up and achieve task addressed by colleague.
  • Be responsible to assist/guide the team to ensure transparency across the division.

Area Of focus # Customers and Partner Relations

  • Build effective relations with internal customers and external partners to achieve our business objectives.
  • Ensure the information flow process is timely, consistent and fair in the business.
  • Being process owner of providing satisfaction to all team members by consistently communicating with customers to achieve their expectations.

Area Of focus # Leadership

  • Able to assist in planning, organizing, communication of Financial business-related issues. Co-ordinate within MPC Division to gather information to resolve the issue.
  • Proactively share the best practice with Management of MPC.
  • Able to provide functional support and execute operational responsibilities.
  • Clearly communicates and drives our mission vision and values through the organization.

What you must have

  • Minimum qualification – CMA / CA Inter or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as GL accountant,
  • Experience of MIS Finalization, Variance analysis, Cash flow statement.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work closely with other members of the Finance Department to meet deadlines.
  • Possession of independent thinking and ability to handle multiple task.
  • Advance Excel skill
  • Power BI (preferred)
  • SAP experience is preferred.
