Role Summary

The role of the Recruitment Resourcer will be to identify, attract and shortlist candidates for the recruitment process to fulfil the requirements of the business brief and provide general administrative support to the recruitment function. Recruitment Resourcers are key to organisational success and need to ensure that candidates have the right skills and experience, while making sure they’re the right cultural fit.

  • Research, identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements, using different sourcing channels to fill roles
  • Write, place and update adverts in line with company procedures to promote the employer brand and current opportunities
  • Recruiting different worker types, depending on the business need
  • Build a good understanding of the business and skills required by candidates to succeed within it
  • Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate’s applications are processed efficiently
  • Qualify, shortlist and present suitable candidates against defined job vacancies
  • Initiate, manage and develop candidate relationships
  • Understand and meet agreed KPIs and targets
  • Proactively and consistently strive to identify new candidates for pipeline roles
  • Provide first line support for all enquiries
  • Provide pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policy and relevant legislation
  • Contribute to team meetings as appropriate
  • Provide support to ensure that the candidates receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service at all times
  • Communicate sensitive information (eg. candidate rejection, disagreement with hiring managers direction) confidently and professionally
  • Add value to your business area through awareness and understanding of recruitment skills, trends and market knowledge
  • Develop an understanding of market rates and conditions within your sector
  • Seek and provide feedback in a professional manner at all times to candidate
  • Accurate recording of candidate information on the recruitment database demonstrating respect for the integrity of all data
  • Comply with all relevant employment legislation and appropriate codes of practice
  • Comply with all relevant sector specific legislation


  • The ideal candidate will have experience of both Agency and In-House recruitment preferably gained in a professional services / IT environment.
  • Candidates solely from an Agency background will be considered but must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience.
  • Expertise in various candidate sourcing strategies (eg. web sourcing, networking, advertising and database searching)
  • Experience in the use of recruitment databases, knowledge of Icims would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel
  • Awareness of employment legislation
  • Ability to work to and meet demanding and deadlines
  • Proven ability to organise and prioritise workload
